WHO ARE ENGINEERS AND WHAT THEY DO?

Hello Everyone!

I want to know everyone, and I want everyone to know me. This will
make me friends with all.
I am new here and this is my first blog so hope this is fine. This
will give me a platform to
share my experiences, knowledge and thoughts with you all guys in a
better way from now onwards .
The first thing to do is to tell everyone about
myself. My name is Sachin Tomar and I am a software engineer, I am from Bareilly, INDIA, where my father is a Lecturar and my mother is a home maker.

Now I think all would like to know why my blog is based on engineer's
- here my vision over engineers goes -

On a lighter side -
I think nobody can define engineer"s in one or two lines - few which
came across says
"Engineers like to solve problems, if there are no problems available,
they will create
their own problems" or
"Normal people... believe that if something is not broken,it requires
no fixing wherein
Engineers believe that if it is not broken then it doesn't have enough
features."

To top it all, this quote is perfect for Engineers -
"For a pessimist the glass is half empty wherein optimist will see it as half
full & for engineer glass is working at half capacity."

Conclusion -
No definition can fully explore an engineer, now what i think after
getting through all these definitions is -

Who is an Engineer and What They Do?

Engineers are builders, adventurers and problem solvers. They seek
quicker, better and low cost ways of completing projects or they
believe in efficient work. An engineer uses the forces and materials
of nature to benefit humankind. Helping people with laborsaving
devices such as engines and computers etc.

Engineers help meet many societal needs like good housing, plenty of food
and clothing, rapid transportation, pure water, air & power.
They work like a bridge between scientific researches and creation
of new products. Translating technical principles into
processes and systems for the benefit of common people.

Typical representation of an engineer in common man mind is MEN in white shirts
with black rimmed glasses and pocket protector while this may have
been a description of a stereotypical engineer in the 1960s.
The field of engineering has grown into a diverse and vibrant profession.
Engineers touch almost all areas of life, from design and electronics,
to agriculture and biotechnology.
To put it simply,
An engineer is a person who uses the tools of science and technology
to create new
things and to understand existing things beneficial for all.

Although there are many fields within the general profession of
engineering, all of the fields have some things in common.
Engineers are often curious people anxious to learn & innovate as much
as they can about a subject of interest with the only view in mind -
BENEFIT TO MANKIND
